I am an integrative counsellor, which means I am able to use several counselling approaches. This can help us to discover an individual way to help you make sense of whatever it is that is bringing you to counselling. In 2008 I gained a Certificate in Counselling Concepts, and qualified as an Integrative Counsellor in 2015 with an FdSc at the University of Gloucester, obtaining a Distinction.

I worked at Vine Counselling for 2 years, and have been in private practice for 3 years. This has given me the opportunity to work in both long term and short term counselling and provided a broad experience base. I have worked with a wide range of topics from bereavement and sadness to feelings of confusion and anger. I like to think that counselling isn’t always about the darkness that can sometimes feel is everywhere. Sometimes it is good just to talk.

I am a member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) and the CAPPP (Counsellors and Psychotherapists in Private Practice). Both organisations are providers of up to date information and guidelines for therapeutic practice.

In 2020 I obtained a certificate in relational therapy from The Relational School of Therapy, a qualification in teaching meditation, and I have recently completed a course in delivering online and telephone therapy.
